VOLUNTEERING

HARVESTERS community food network

It might be hard to believe that in the land of abundance, so many are in need, but hunger is a reality in our country. Hunger exists in every single community in the U.S. — from the wealthiest to the poorest. Hunger hurts us all — hunger weakens communities by threatening people’s ability to reach their potential and fully contribute. We believe addressing the problem of hunger requires a thorough understanding of the problem.

Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Their mission is to mobilize the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes and impact of hunger. Our vision is a healthy, thriving community where no one is hungry.

When you give your time, you’re directly contributing to the livelihood of your neighbors. From sorting nonperishable goods in our warehouses to serving meals and distributing groceries, with every volunteer opportunity, you make a direct impact on the wellbeing of our community. Thank you for sharing your time and talents!
